SASKATOON. x–11s. A group representing protesters who have set up teepees on the Saskatchewan legislature grounds have told provincial
ministers that they want changes, including an in-depth review of children in foster care and foster homes, and a moratorium on adoptions.
Justice Minister Don Morgan says the province has been working on some of those issues, like agreements giving more responsibility for child
welfare to First Nations.
(“..deal with that.”) (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)
TAG: The group says their camp will stay put until they get another meeting in two weeks. But Morgan says it would “show good faith” if they called for the teepees to come down first.
