Feathers of Hope exists to serve young Indigenous leaders through programming that both builds their capacity and supports them in creating positive change in their communities. We are a unique organization in that we are governed by Indigenous youth for Indigenous youth. We build self-sufficiency and confidence through generations by continuously uplifting young people, their ideas, and their goals. We have come to see the power of the work we do, and now, more than ever, we must be resilient in evolving to meet young peoples’ pressing needs. We have an opportunity to influence change and build a multi-generational reach in the regions we serve.
The conduits for change that young people need are too often in the hands of adults. Instead, we will provide Indigenous youth with the tools and resources they need to make the change they want to see in themselves and in their own communities.
Young Indigenous people are empowered to make their voices heard by bringing their lived experience into broader advocacy in social policy around Indigenous relations and youth mental health and wellbeing.
